I just got a video recorder for an early Christmas from my mom so I'm soo excited to start taking videos of little man. Grandma tied a blanket around Liam's neck to use as a cape. He loved it so much and was running around with it on for a while. He also has learned how to say hi and bye and wave.

I just starting doing this workout video 30 Day Shred by Jillian Michaels. It is only 20 minutes a day and it kicks my butt every time. It is the best workout I have ever done and I love that it is so quick! I am on day 17 and have lost 4 inches. Not too much, but I have more energy, can feel things tightening a little, and I'll take what I can get!

Liam Update:
Liam has done this for 4 nights in a row now:
We bathe him, brush his teeth, say prayers, read a book, feed him milk and we say goodnight and put him in his crib awake. He rolls over and goes right to bed with no crying. He wakes up 11 hours later playing with toys and jumping in his bed! I couldn't believe it the first time I put him down like this and he didn't cry! He's always been one to want to be rocked to sleep or lay down with us until he fell asleep. He must be growing up and FINALLY getting it! He's doing better with naps too as long as he sleeps on a grown up bed. :/

He's been trying to say all sorts of words and points at everything wanting us to tell him what it is. He loves looking at books and I'll catch him in a room just reading to himself. He also wants to feed himself and will grab the fork and try jabbing at the food. Walking is getting better-he can't go from sitting to standing without grabbing onto something but I will catch him just walking around when he's in the mood.

I can't believe our baby is 1! This year flew by so fast. He went to the doctor and is 27 lbs 1 oz and 32 inches tall! He had a baseball party and so much of the family came and a family from our ward. It was so nice having so many to come celebrate this exciting milestone!

When I think back on this year, here are some things I think of:

I was carrying that big baby!
Sleepless nights
Watching my sweet boy sleep in my arms (the best! even though I was as tired as can be)
First smile
Growth spurts and eating every hour
Watching him pass up the older kids in weight haha
Splashing in the tub
Shots :(
Seeing him get excited to see me or dad
Reaching for me
Getting excited to see Grandparents (he loves being spoiled)
Finally not gagging on solid food!
Cheesy smile!
Figuring out a schedule and trying to get him to follow it :/
Stopping to dance to a commercial, Judge Judy theme song, or Hot Dog song
Saying ball or balloon in his high-pitched sweet voice (he can spot one a mile away too)

Liam's Update

I've been bad at blogging! Liam has learned to crawl and is climbing all over things! I just started watching other kids at our house and Liam is starting to adjust. At first he was really clingy and jealous, but is starting to play with the other kids. He is starting to try and talk and can say: ball, pillow, ow, uh-oh, and dog. It's so fun watching him learn new things and try and say new words. We took him swimming and he HATES being splashed. He opens his mouth as wide as can be and screams. We love it when he opens his mouth as wide as he can...sometimes he squints too and other times he doesn't even scream.

After being postponed in November, we were all healthy enough to have Liam's blessing. We just had a small family get together at home and I'm really glad we did it that way. The blessing Wil gave was so beautiful...I have never really heard Wil speak like that. We love our little Liam so much!

I just went to the doctor last week and this kid is getting big so fast! He was 17 lbs 8 oz and 25.5 inches long. I thought a little less than 3 inches in height wasn't that much in 2 months, but the nurses just looked at me like I was crazy and informed me that that is a lot of height. Liam had to get his shots and it was so sad. He did fine until that afternoon. No one had told me to give him Tylenol so he screamed until he had some. :(
Liam was supposed to be blessed on the 7th, but there was a flu going around. I was sick the day before the blessing and Wil got sick the night before. So it will be postponed. My family and Wil's sisters came for it, but I think everyone was just happy to see him. (it gives me family an excuse to come visit again)

Halloween sleeper!
Liam is 2 months old today! Time is going by really fast. He is cooing and smiling all the time now...it is so cute! (makes it a little better when I get up in the middle of the night to have a smile flashed at me) He is able to sleep 4-6 hours, but usually does it for 1-3 nights then has another 3 nights of waking up every 2 hours. He's a little trickster that way. He is getting bigger and bigger everyday. His last appointment he was 16 lbs 2 oz...but that was 2 weeks ago. I'm guessing he's in the 17's now. We'll find out tomorrow at his next appointment.
Liam has been drooling a lot and I wonder if he is going to get teeth soon. I thought it was a little early, but he's not your average baby!
Corinne just had her baby, Bryce, and he was 5 lbs 13 oz...I want to see the size difference when I put Liam next to Bryce. It will be fun to see them play together.

Liam's 1st Bath

Liam just had his first bath! I expected him to cry but he didn't mind it at all! He just sat there content and let us do what we needed to do even though I could tell he was getting a little cold. He did try and shower us though when he peed, but luckily just missed Wil. He is getting so big and is almost outgrowing the newborn insert in the bath! We love this little guy so much and are so blessed with how good of a baby he is!

Liam was due on August 29th. I was sent to the hospital for high blood pressure

on August 25th and was hoping I would be induced because I was getting huge and was worried. They sent me home after it went down and again another time I went in for the same thing.

On Sept 1st at 3:00 am I started having contractions about 10 minutes apart. That night we decided to go to the hospital because they had been consistent all day. They monitored me and of course my contractions decided to come 15 minutes apart when hooked up to the monitors. I was dilated to a 3 1/2 so they had me walk around for an hour to see if I would progress.

When I didn't they sent me home. That night my contractions got wa

y stronger, but were still just 8-10 minutes apart . They kept me up all night.

Sept 2 I still had consistent contractions that just kept getting stronger. At around 6 pm

they started coming at around 4-7 minutes apartand became much more intense at around 7ish. We went into the hospital at around 8:30 pm and I was monitored again. I was monitored for what seemed like forever and by the time I was finally admitted and given the epidural (which was amazing!) I was dilated to a 9 and the bag of waters was starting to bulge out.

The doctor came in and broke my water and I started pushing at 3:30 am on September 3rd. Liam was finally born at 6:54 am. It was really tough and I remember having to rest (I hadn't slept in 2 nights because of the contractions) and saying I couldn't do it. To this the doctor told me I could just stay pregnant forever then haha. It was so amazing

to see him for the first time and we were shocked on howbig he was! It was crazy to

think I had been in labor for about 51 hours and I was glad it was over and to have our little guy here.

Poor Wedding Ring

I started noticing some swelling a month or two ago, but nothing too bad. In the past week everything blew up like a balloon it seems like! I noticed my wedding ring was getting a little snug, but this morning it was making me lose feeling in my finger. I tried to get it off with water, soap, ice, and baby oil but it ended up making my finger turn purple when I got my ring to my knuckle. So, I iced it some more to make the swelling go down and it just throbbed and swelled some more. Crystal drove me to Ema's who drove me to the fire station and I had it cut off :( It was sad, but felt a whole lot better afterwards. Next time my ring is coming off a lot sooner!

Almost There!

Almost 37 weeks...We're hoping he comes soon! I can't wait to meet this little guy and have him kick his dad for once :) I'm having a lot of aches and pains and I don't feel like I can get any bigger. It is amazing though feeling him move, respond to touch, and hiccup and I'm trying to focus on those things rather than the negative things. I went to the doctor the other day and she said I'm 1-2 cm dilated, so I'm happy my body is doing something!

New Project

My recent projects for the bathroom. (If we ever get a house) Recently the house we were waiting to hear from flooded. We were told we could get all new paint and carpet, but we are hesitant to move into a place that flooded. So now were trying to decide if we want to stay with this house, or keep looking.

My next projects-get Liam's stuff ready and paint some wood words I bought from the Dollar Tree<-love that store!

Package from Mandy!

About a week ago we got a package in the mail from one of my new cousins, Mandy! She sent all sorts of good stuff like diapers (which we were in desperate need of), blankets, and onesies. It was so sweet of her! It got me more excited for the end of this pregnancy. In the next week or so Wil and I are going to start setting up the bassinet and organizing and washing the baby's clothes.

Little Weekend Getaway

Wil's dad is here for business for a few months and went home to visit for a few days. He let us stay in his condo while he was gone! We only went to Phoenix, but it was nice getting a little 5 day vacation. This will be our last vacation just with the two of us in our family. Wil was able to get a three day weekend and we went swimming, shopping, out to eat, walked around Ikea, and went to a baseball game. We bought a few outfits for the baby (he's so spoiled already) My favorite part was being able to set the air conditioning to 70 degrees!

So I'm a terrible blogger and didn't even write about my great baby showers! They happened right around the time we were moving to Arizona so I was worried about moving! The first one was a family one and we went to dinner at Iggy's (love that place!) and saw Letters to Juliet. They all chipped in and bought me a stroller/infant seat! (one that picky Wil likes too)-->

It was a lot of fun!

The other baby shower was thrown by Aimee and Christene from JCPenney. They made the cutest invitations and it was nice to see everyone right before I left. It was at Mimi's cafe and I got a lot of cool stuff...even the dog purse from the JCP! :) I still miss everyone, but had fun in my year and a half working there!

Projects

I've been trying to find things to keep myself occupied since I couldn't transfer JCPenneys. All the free time is killing me since I was working 36 hrs and now nothing. So...I made something for Liam's room, am working on a baby book, and crocheted a rug. Now, I'm trying to find another project..I'm thinking crochet a blanket or another rug? Wil told me I should tone it down so we don't end up with a huge collection of stuff with no where to store it! I'm hoping our house goes through soon so I can start getting things ready for Liam's room. I should really enjoy this time I guess because soon there will be a baby and I'll be complaining about no free time!

Arizona

We're here in Arizona! It's super hot but we didn't expect anything else :) We found a house we really love and put an offer on it...we're just waiting now to see if it is accepted. Cross our fingers! We're happy to be out of the BYU wards and into a "normal" ward hah. It seems like a great ward and there's a ton of kids. Wil started his job and is training right now. He says training is really long but hopefully it will get better. I'm trying to transfer to JCPenney and work a few months before Liam comes so I have something to do. Liam is doing good...getting bigger and kicking harder! I have a lot of aches and pains, but I know it will all be worth it once I see the little guy :)

Moving Time!

We get to move out of Utah! Wil just got a job in Phoenix so we're out of here in two weeks! There's so much to do but we're so excited. I thought I would be sad to move away, but I can't help but feel this is where we need to go this time in our life. Everything is just falling into place and going so fast :) And I know Wil will be happier out of retail.

Ever since 18 weeks, I feel Liam kick all the time now! (probably because he's so big already) I was so excited after finding out it was a boy that I went crazy and bought a bunch of cute clothes at work! We even received a baby gift already from someone who works with us! She bought the cutest things that I was thinking of buying!

I've decided that I want to create a scrapbook to remember our first pregnancy. I think it would be cool to look back on and since I actually am starting to get energy there is so many things I want to do! Maybe I can actually clean and cook again! It must be the prenatal vitamins giving me this energy...I finally found one that doesn't make me sick. Wil was so cute picking them out..I was just going to get one that was cheap, but had everything I needed, but didn't have DHA. The doctor said that I didn't have to have DHA, but it doesn't hurt. Wil was so adamant that I do not cut corners on our baby and I spend the extra money getting one with DHA. He was not going to have his baby coming out dumb. Ha..so we bought one with DHA...

We're officially going to be parents!

So I had my first doctors appointment today! Wil had to work an overnight shift last night, but he still came with me even though he was so dead. We were able to see the baby and hear the heartbeat. The baby had a heartrate of 160 beats pre minute and they said everything looked great. They moved my due date up a week too so the new due date is August 29th and I'm 11 weeks 2 days along! It was so amazing and made it so real :) Funny story- I could not pee in the cup for the life of me and had to come back to do it at the end of the appointment. I was a little embarrassed and the doctor made fun of me since I'm pregnant and couldn't pee. Oh well. A lot of food still isn't sounding good, but I think I've been pretty lucky with not getting too sick. We're so excited!!

Poor Wil :( He's been so stressed out...with the 3 units he has to take in the summer, with his hard classes, a job he doesn't like, someone stole our credit card number and was using it in New York, and a few other things. I don't stress too much...I think he does all the stressing for the both of us...when things go wrong they go wrong all at once, but then it mellows out and things always turn out fine in the end.

School never ends!

So Wil was really looking forward to being done with school in April, but just found out he might be 3 credits short. He is really mad because his counselor told him a class would count and after a year it came back that it doesn't. Poor baby :( Well, he'll finish school one of these days...

Wedding Day

I am so excited because we just got all our wedding pictures back! It was such a great day and I love looking back at the pictures and remembering all of it. Corrin and Summer were such great bridesmaids and did my hair and makeup for the day and my mom pretty much took care of everything else :) I think she was pretty stressed, but she took all the stress from me! I love that we were able to go to the San Diego Temple. It is mine and Wil's favorite temple! It is so beautiful. It was so nice to see and spend time with my family and my new family.

Well, I've noticed that everyone has one of these things so I'd get one too! We just got married about a month ago now and it's been great (except for the cheap apartment :)-but we're getting used to it. The wedding was so great. It was nice being in California and seeing family. I wish we could have spent more time there-we really miss Orange County. It just went so fast! Wil is enjoying no school for a while, while I'm rushing to finish my online classes by September! He was just promoted to Supervisor over the Home department and it seems like he's catching on fast even though he thinks he's so lost.
